6 automatic loading / unloading arms in each of the 2 Jetties. Loading arms are RCMA type of arms (Rotary Counter-weight Marine Arm) supplied by M/s NIGATA CHIKSAN, JAPAN. Facilities to export all products. On-line Data Acquisition from port through Optical Fiber Cable System.

SPM (Single Point Mooring - Mangala 1) : The SPM is designed to handle VLCC tankers, which carries crude up to 300,000MT of crude, thereby reducing crude oil landing cost. SPM will enable MRPL to increase crude throughput to 18MMTPA by decongesting existing jetties. The facility is also designed to take care of crude oilrequirement of strategic crude storage facility by M/S ISPRL.

MRPL has set up desalination plant at Thanirbhavi to meet present demand of 30 MLD product water. The site is located in the vicinity of NMPA. The desalination is based on reverse Osmosis technology using sea water from Arabian Sea.
