On 29th January 2016 evening at MRPL Club Auditorium, employees of MRPL got assembled to bid farewell to Shri Vishnu Agrawal, Director Finance.

The programme began with MRPL theme song and the welcome speech of Shri B Ramesh Kumar, GM – Security & Admin.

This was followed by the speech from GGMs namely, Shri K Lakshminarayana, GGM-HR, Shri KS Koppalkar, GGM-Maintenance & IS, Shri Devadas Shenoy, GGM – Operations Ph I,II III), Shri S Bandopadhyay, GGM Finance and Shri VL Krishnamoorthy, GGM Operations III & Aromatics. Shri Ramesh S, GM – QC and R&D (who was superannuating on the same day) and Shri AK Sahoo, GM-Finance (Director Finance wef 1.2.2016) also spoke on the occasion.

Then it was the turn of the collectives. Shri Niranjan Gupta, Chief Mgr Civil and the President MSA, Shri Sudhendu KV, President MEU and Shri Balaji A wished Shri Vishnu Agrawal, Director Finance. Ms Noopur, Bhalla, WIPS Apex Leader wished DF on behalf of WIPS members. Each group felicitated DF and MEU also felicitated MD for winning Best Rankers Award recently.

Then the forum was left open to all. Quite a few employees took opportunity to wish their beloved Director Finance.

Shri Y Ravindranath, CVO MRPL spoke on the occasion and conveyed that he could learn many things about Finance due to DF, otherwise his earlier experience was mainly in technical area. Shri M Venkatesh M, Director Refinery conveyed that Shri Vishnu Agrawal has played a vital role in following procedures in procurement of Crude in the crucial time of turbulent Crude Oil prices.

The Citation to DF was read out by Shri Raviprasad S, GM Finance and Managing Director handed over it to Shri Vishnu Agrawal, Director Finance.Shri H. Kumar our Managing Director while wishing our superannuating Director Finance said that the observations / remarks raised by him in Notes have made us to think in certain direction and termed him as a Wizard of MRPL.
