MRPL today conducted an Onsite Emergency Mock Drill at one of the Hydrocracker Units of Phase 2 in the presence of Dy. Director of Factories and District Crisis Management Group, five Observers (Officials from BASF, HPCL, MCF, State Fire Services, OMPL and BPCL) to check and reestablish the disaster preparedness systems in MRPL.

The drill checked and evaluated all response systems in place at MRPL in case of a real gas leak and resulting fire. The exerciseenvisaged a gas leak and huge fire which was contained in 9 minutes.

The Observers who had taken up vantage positions evaluated the mock drill that lasted 40 minutes and the entire exercise was reviewed at length.
