As a part of the activities of Swachh Bharat Pakhwada, a Shramadan was organised by MRPL on Sunday, 19.6.2016. At sharp 7.00 am the employees of MRPL, their dependents and the DPS children in large numbers gathered in front of Mahaganapathi Temple at Ganeshpura (Kaikamba) Circle.

The group was divided into two batches and one went towards the MRPL Cargo Gate and the other towards Kordabbu Dwara at Katipalla I Block, to carry out the cleaning activity.

Shri AK Sahoo, Director Finance, Shri K Lakshminarayana, GGM – I/C CS, Projects & Materials, Shri H P Pai, GGM – Materials and Shri B H V Prasad, GM-I/c-HR lead the Shramadan.

The group carried out the cleaning activity for nearly two hours before rains arrived to complete the job. At the end of the cleanliness drive, the area around Kaikamba Circle, the adjacent ground and the roads towards MRPL Cargo Gate & Kordabbu Temple Dwara were clean. Children participated in large numbers to set an example for elders.

Refreshment was arranged for the volunteers at the end of the Shramadan. Everyone who took part in the Shramadan dispersed with the fulfilment of spending a couple of hours for the cause of society and the nation to make it a Swachh Bharat.
