The Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) has advised Government organisations to adopt Integrity Pact voluntarily in their major procurement activities.
The Integrity Pact essentially envisages an agreement between the prospective vendors / bidders and the buyer, committing the persons / officials of both sides not to resort to any corrupt practices in any aspect / stage of thecontract. Only those vendors / bidders, who commit themselves to such a pact with the buyer, would be consideredcompetent to participate in the bidding process.
The CVC guidelines further advises CPSUs to appoint Independent External Monitors as approved by the CVC to overseethe compliance of obligations under the Integrity Pact.
MRPL has implemented Integrity Pact in compliance with CVC guidelines and as per its recommendation, appointed Shri Pratyush Sinha, Former CVCas Independent External Monitor.
